How these pages are written

Health information should be accurate, current and honest about what is known. This is how I try to make sure it is.

Who writes the content

Every article and condition guide on this website is written or reviewed by me, Dr Shivadev M, MBBS, MD (Psychiatry), FECSM, a Psychiatrist and Sexual Medicine Specialist registered with the Karnataka Medical Council (Reg. No. 74840). Each page shows who wrote it and when it was last reviewed.

Sources

Condition guides are based on current clinical guidelines and peer-reviewed research, such as those from the European Association of Urology, the International Society for Sexual Medicine, the Indian Psychiatric Society and the UK's National Institute for Health and Care Excellence. Key sources are listed at the end of each guide.

Review and updates

Every page is reviewed at least once a year, and sooner when important new evidence or guidance appears. The "last reviewed" date shows when this was last done.

Independence

This website does not accept advertising or sponsored content. Content is not written for, or paid for by, any pharmaceutical or device company. Medicines are described by class rather than by brand.

Limits

These pages are general information. They cannot account for your individual health, and they are not a substitute for a consultation with a doctor who has assessed you.

Corrections

If you notice something that seems inaccurate or out of date, please write to hello@unspokenhealth.in. Corrections are reviewed and made promptly.
